The hotel’s history
Since opening its doors in 1958, Hotel Ginebra has welcomed guests in the heart of Barcelona. Founded by a Spanish family from León, it was one of the first hotels on Plaça de Catalunya and soon became a trusted choice for travellers from across Spain. In 2012, the hotel began a new chapter under The Happy Tourist SL, an Anglo-Dutch company with Italian roots, bringing a complete refurbishment and a fresh approach to hospitality. With an additional floor in 2015, Hotel Ginebra now offers 18 rooms in one of Barcelona’s most privileged locations. Our history is part of who we are, but our focus remains on the future: memorable stays, sincere hospitality and a warm welcome for every guest who walks through our doors.
